How to have a great birthday
So, finally celebrated my nineteenth birthday on September 15. Nineteen, eh? Crazy! For it, I went out with my friends' friends (met them all for the first time - loved them!) and just generally had a lovely time. That was the Saturday before my birthday (my birthday being on the Monday) so, on my actual birthday I went to Frankie and Benny's with my mum and two sisters. It was so nice - I love Italian food! Here, have a picture of me on my birthday pulling probably not the best face you've ever seen whilst in work:
Weirdly, work on my birthday was amazing too! It felt like a normal day, really, until about 1pm. I honestly thought everyone had forgotten - not that I hadn't mentioned it enough times. Anyway, it got to 1pm and everyone (Jayne, Gem, Rich and Pip) were all acting really suspicious. It wasn't until I realised they were all standing in the kitchen that I knew they were obviously up to something. 20 minutes later and a near death experience with the candles, they were all walking over. Cake in one hand, card and present in the other. I was so happy. It just made me realise how lovely they all are. The cake was chocolate, card was hilarious and present was jewellery. Got a few pics here to settle your imagination down, it's been a long day.
This next picture is me and my beautiful mum. Taken, of course, whilst in Frankie and Benny's. I love my mum. She is the most amazing person I know and forever makes me happy. Everyone should make time for their mum on their birthday. Whether they like it or not, it was their mum that brought them into the world and I honestly wouldn't have it any different. My mum is the best and I wouldn't be the person I am today without her. Simply can not sing her praises enough. Thanks mum (although you'll probably won't read this).
I even got a cake off my mum at the end of it all. Was such a cute little girl-y cake, perfect for me to enjoy after a long day of being the birthday girl.
On Tuesday (the day after my birthday), my best friend, Tillie, kindly got me and her tickets to go and see Wicked in the theatre. I love the theatre. It's such magical and inspiring place. Unlike the cinema, it actually makes you feel like you're a part of the show. It really involves you. Wicked was absolutely amazing! It was that good, I was even contemplating making a whole blog post on that alone. It was probably the best musical I have ever seen and once it had finished, I instantly wanted to see it again. Everything about it was amazing. The costume, the lighting, the acting, the singer, the list can go on. I would 100% recommend it anyone - whether you enjoy going to the theatre or not - you should go and see Wicked if you ever get the chance. 10/10 from me.
Well, I guess that's all from me for now guys. In an attempt to get more people to follow me on here or even at least look at my posts, I've decided to think of more interesting things to speak about. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't.
G'bye!
