Is this how to blog?
Tuesday I went to an Indian restaurant with everyone I work with. Was great. It made me realise my love for everyone here even more and how much they all really do inspire me, in their own unique way.Whilst sitting around the table, I got asked to describe everyone in one word. It was hard to pick one word to describe these incredible people I have had the pleasure of working with for the past two months. It was then, that we decided to take a picture. Such a great night with such great people.
It wasn't until the end of the meal when I realised I was supposed to be taking pictures for memories. Here, have a picture of my macaroons (first time I tried them and can honestly say they're not as amazing as everyone makes out) and raspberry sorbet.
Next up, Wednesday. I don't have any pictures for Wednesday because once I got home I had a driving lesson. We all know how phones and cars don't mix so didn't really want to risk my rep(utation) on the road and take a sneaky snap. Wednesay was fun though. My driving instructor, Mike, is a really loveable person and makes it easy and fun for me to learn new things. Fingers crossed that I pass my driving test before Christmas!
Thursday (yesterday) was a good, spontaneous one. I randomly decided I wanted to go the hairdressers and finally get my hair sorted out. Now, I've never been to the hairdressers before. Some of you may think that it's because I think they're too expensive and some may think I just have never been bothered. Both, partially right. I think the hairdressers, all hairdressers, are overrated. Wow. Cut my hair how I don't want it and tell me I now look better why don't you. I can easily cut and dye my hair myself so always thought there was no point in hairdressers/salons. Yesterday though, I decided to 'treat myself', as my mum would say. I booked myself in to one of the most expensive salons in town and went there straight after work with my sister. I got a cut, dyed, shampoo and curly blow-dry all for the fabulous amount of £92. Dare I say it, I think my hair looks pretty good though. See for yourself:
The picture on the left is obviously my hair before-hand. So frizzy and dead. The picture on the left is my hair after two hours of getting it 'treated'. A lot more life put back into it and just generally looks better. I wish I would have done it sooner, instead of going to parties, events, meeting new people and seeing better things with my hair like how it used to be. When I came into work this morning, everyone said how much better it looked. Gemma said how hair is something we wear every day and that I should take pride in it more often. "Girls will spend so much money on dresses and shoes they will only wear once, when you can spend the exact same amount of money on your hair and wear it forever" she said. Gemma, the woman of such fabulous quotes I personally think she should write a book. My hair looks so much better the way it is now. I think I am finally starting to get the hang of being the nineteen and learning to look my age.
That leaves me with today, Friday. Just me and Rich in the office as everyone else has gone home. I have completed all my work (hence the reason I am writing this). Rich is going on holiday on Monday and agh, I so wish I was going too! I need a holiday - right now, please?
It's 17:21 and I'm leaving in 9 minutes.
Thanks for reading guys,
Speak soon.
